• Meeting place for cruisers: Your professional driver will pick you up on the pier next to your ship at 8:00am, holding a sign with your name. You return to your ship by 5:00pm

• Meeting place for travellers: Your professional driver will pick you up from your hotel at 9am, and bring you back approximately 5:00 pm.

TOUR DESCRIPTION – PALERMO AND RENAISSANCE TOUR
With a few exceptions, most Renaissance Art arrived at Palermo through Spanish and Northern Italian artists. Nonetheless it is the home of some of the most elegant monuments and art works from that �poqueWe will start the tour at the beautiful Pretoria Square with its marble post-Renaissance fountain, which was brought over from Tuscany in 644 pieces. Then we will visit the 15th century Palazzo Abatellis which houses the Regional Art Gallery, famous forAntonello da Messina’s painting of the “Annunciation”. Here you will also see paintings and sculptures that go from the 10th century Arab period to the pre-Baroque period, including many Spanish and Flemish Renaissance paintings. Nearby is the 15th century Church of Santa Maria delle Catene considered a true jewel of the Gothic-Catalan style still common during the Renaissance in Palermo. We will end the tour at the Church of San Giorgio built in the austere post-Renaissance style by the Genovese merchants living here during the 15th and 16th centuries

Due to strict Italian laws & regulations that protect officially licensed guides, our drivers can only comment and explain the sights from inside the vehicle, and are not allowed to do so once they are outside the vehicle. A Professional licensed guide, where needed, can be hired on request at an extra cost.

• We suggest what to see, but you decide. We can plan and customize together all the different opportunities and itineraries. Our tours are flexible and completely focused on your needs and desires.

• Please dress respectfully for visiting religious monuments; local custom requires covering knees and shoulders.

• Be sure to wear comfortable walking shoes.

• The tour sequence may be altered to avoid congestions but always covering mentioned sights.

• Keep an eye on your wallet and purses at all time. Do not wear jewerly or carry large amount of cash.

PAYMENT

• To book our services you have the choice to pay with Euro cash money at the end of service or to pre-pay the total fee by credit card via PayPal with an additional 10%. We don’t accept credit cards as a form of payment on the day of service, we only accept cash in Euros and/or US$; if US$ we will give you the exchange rate of the day before the service increased by 5 cents.

• Why we dont take CC on the day of the tour Often are drivers and tour guides do not have a POS on board. You can useyour credit card(s) at easily found ATM machines to withdraw cash. Your driver can show you where to find one. You get thecash just when you need it. The xchange rate is very convenient and it is the same rate applied when you purchase somethingwith with your Credit Card

CANCELLATION POLICY:

• No charge will be applied for cancellations made up to 7 days prior to the service date

• Cancellations made 7 days prior to the service date: 50% charge’

• Annulament made 48 hours prior to the service date: 75% charge’

• Cancellations made 24 hours of less or no show: 100% charge’
