TOUR DESCRIPTION – MURANO AND BURANO ISLANDS
We’ll start our Private Murano & Burano Boat Tour itinerary visiting the island of Burano, one of the most picturesque of the Venetian lagoon. Famous for its lace-making industry, this charming and colourful fishing village has its streets and canals lined by pastel coloured houses. If you’re interested, as part of this excursion, our guide can take you to visit the lace museum, where you can see splendid artefacts made by the local women over the centuries.

After a pleasant stroll around the Island of Burano, we’ll make our way to Murano which is the most famous of the Venetian Islands, thanks to the world known “Murano Glass”, produced here. The people of Venice have been making crystal and glass since the 10th Century, when the Venetian merchants brought back the secrets of production from the East.

As part of our Private Venice Murano & Burano Island Boat Tours at Murano, you’ll visit a selected glass-factory. You’ll see a demonstration of glass-blowing as well as visit the factory’s showroom full of beautiful glassware that exemplify the high quality of glass produced on the Island. An Optional visit on this excursion from Venice, if time permits, will be the Murano Glass Museum which can be arranged directly with your guide on the day of the tour. Then a transfer back to Venice, to the city centre will conclude your Private Venice Burano & Murano Boat Tour.

• This tour includes a Professional English-speaking driver that gives commentaries of the sites seen. Due to strict Italian laws & regulations that protect officially licensed guides, our drivers can only comment and explain the sights from inside the vehicle, and are not allowed to do so once they are outside the vehicle. A Professional licensed guide, where needed, can be hired on request at an extra cost.

• We suggest what to see, but you decide. We can plan and customize together all the different opportunities and itineraries. Our tours are flexible and completely focused on your needs and desires.

• Please dress respectfully for visiting religious monuments; local custom requires covering knees and shoulders.

• Be sure to wear comfortable walking shoes. An bring a camera, hat and sunscreen.

• The tour sequence may be altered to avoid congestions but always covering mentioned sights.

• Keep an eye on your wallet and purses at all time. Do not wear jewerly or carry large amount of cash.

PAYMENT

• To book our services you have the choice to pay with Euro cash money at the end of service or to pre-pay the total fee by credit card via PayPal with an additional 10%. We don’t accept credit cards as a form of payment on the day of service, we only accept cash in Euros and/or US$; if US$ we will give you the exchange rate of the day before the service increased by 5 cents.

• Why we dont take CC on the day of the tour Often are drivers and tour guides do not have a POS on board. You can useyour credit card(s) at easily found ATM machines to withdraw cash. Your driver can show you where to find one. You get thecash just when you need it. The xchange rate is very convenient and it is the same rate applied when you purchase somethingwith your Credit Card

CANCELLATION POLICY:

• No charge will be applied for cancellations made up to 7 days prior to the service date

• Cancellations made 7 days prior to the service date: 50% charge’

• Annulament made 48 hours prior to the service date: 75% charge’

• Cancellations made 24 hours of less or no show: 100% charge’
