• Meeting place for cruisers: Your professional driver will pick you up on the pier next to your ship at 8:00am, holding a sign with your name. You return to your ship by 5:00pm

• Meeting place for travellers: Your professional driver will pick you up from your hotel at 9am, and bring you back approximately 5:00 pm.

TOUR DESCRIPTION – PALERMO AND MONREALE
Capital for both the Arabs and the Normans, Palermo’s monuments reflect the magnificence of two worlds: East and West that come together in clashing contrast. This tour enables you to discover the capital of Sicily with its unique history, monuments, markets,people and churchesInside the Royal Palace we will visit the 12th century Palatine Chapel, built by the Normans, but decorated with Byzantine- and Islamic-style mosaics. The nearby Cathedral was built by the Normans, but every new ruling dynasty that arrived added their own style to it. Then we will make our way through the Arab-style street market called Capo. This is really a cacophony of voices, flavors, perfumes and colors, very similar to souk markets in Arab countries. Then, we will drive to nearby Monreale where we will visit theNorman Duomo (Cathedral) decorated on the inside with over 6,340 sq. meters (almost 70,000 sq. feet) of mosaics and 24-carat gold!

• This tour includes a Professional English-speaking driver that gives commentaries of the sites seen. Due to strict Italian laws & regulations that protect officially licensed guides, our drivers can only comment and explain the sights from inside the vehicle, and are not allowed to do so once they are outside the vehicle. A Professional licensed guide, where needed, can be hired on request at an extra cost.

• We suggest what to see, but you decide. We can plan and customize together all the different opportunities and itineraries. Our tours are flexible and completely focused on your needs and desires.

• Please dress respectfully for visiting religious monuments; local custom requires covering knees and shoulders.

• Be sure to wear comfortable walking shoes.

• The tour sequence may be altered to avoid congestions but always covering mentioned sights.

• Keep an eye on your wallet and purses at all time. Do not wear jewerly or carry large amount of cash.

PAYMENT

• To book our services you have the choice to pay with Euro cash money at the end of service or to pre-pay the total fee by credit card via PayPal with an additional 10%. We don’t accept credit cards as a form of payment on the day of service, we only accept cash in Euros and/or US$; if US$ we will give you the exchange rate of the day before the service increased by 5 cents.

• Why we dont take CC on the day of the tour Often are drivers and tour guides do not have a POS on board. You can useyour credit card(s) at easily found ATM machines to withdraw cash. Your driver can show you where to find one. You get thecash just when you need it. The xchange rate is very convenient and it is the same rate applied when you purchase somethingwith with your Credit Card

CANCELLATION POLICY:

• No charge will be applied for cancellations made up to 7 days prior to the service date

• Cancellations made 7 days prior to the service date: 50% charge’

• Annulment made 48 hours prior to the service date: 75% charge’

• Cancellations made 24 hours of less or no show: 100% charge’
