TOUR DESCRIPTION – POMPEII – WINE TASTING
Your driver guide or tour guide will recount the fascinating story of Pompeii, its demise and how it has been miraculously excavated and restored over hundreds of years.During your drive to Pompeii, you will drive up to the Vesuvius, the still-active volcano located about 15 miles south east of Naples. With wonderful views to stop and take photos then arrive at the top of the volcano where you can admire the grandeur of Mount Vesuvius from afar. at a height of 3,000 feet where your ascent on foot will begin. Zig-zag paths lead an additional 1,000 feet to the crater walls. On the edge of this imposing crater, your alpine guide will demonstrate how ‘alive’ Vesuvius is as they point out hot spots. Take a moment to absorb the phenomenon of this majestic volcano and the panoramic view over the Bay of Naples.then of to wine tasting

This is a great opportunity to taste a local production of wine Lacrima Cristi , Falanghina and local red wine from the Vesuvius earth

Due to strict Italian laws & regulations that protect officially licensed guides, our drivers can only comment and explain the sights from inside the vehicle, and are not allowed to do so once they are outside the vehicle. A Professional licensed guide, where needed, can be hired on request at an extra cost.

EXTRA NOTES AND USEFUL INFORMATION
- We suggest what to see, but you decide. We can plan and customize together all the different opportunities and itineraries. Our tours are flexible and completely focused on your needs and desires.
- Please dress respectfully for visiting religious monuments; local custom requires covering knees and shoulders. An bring a camera, hat and sunscreen.
- The tour sequence may be altered to avoid congestions but always covering mentioned sights.
- Keep an eye on your wallet and purses at all time. Do not wear jewerly or carry large amount of cash.
- In case of bad weather or strong winds, Mount Vesuvius may close to the public without notice. Please accept that this is beyond our control and it is not possible to predict in advance. In case of closure, you agree to substitute this site with another site, such as a visit to Sorrento.
- Please note that the hike to the crater of Mount Vesuvius requires visitors to be fit enough for the activity and wear closed flat comfortable shoes (shoes will get dirty with dust and ash, so try not to wear your favorite clean shoes on this visit).
- Weather tends to be much cooler on top of the volcano than below, so be prepared by bringing extra clothing.
- Note: A substantial amount of walking is required on this tour and surfaces are uneven and cobbled. Flat, comfortable walking shoes are essential. Pushchairs are not recommended at Pompeii. Toilet facilities are limited.

- To book our services you have the choice to pay with Euro cash money at the end of service or to pre-pay the total fee by credit card via PayPal with an additional 10%. We don’t accept credit cards as a form of payment on the day of service, we only accept cash in Euros and/or US$; if US$ we will give you the exchange rate of the day before the service increased by 5 cents.
- Why we dont take CC on the day of the tour Often are drivers and tour guides do not have a POS on board. You can useyour credit card(s) at easily found ATM machines to withdraw cash. Your driver can show you where to find one. You get thecash just when you need it. The xchange rate is very convenient and it is the same rate applied when you purchase somethingwith your Credit Card
CANCELLATION POLICY:
- No charge will be applied for cancellations made up to 7 days prior to the service date
- Cancellations made 7 days prior to the service date: 50% charge’
- Annulament made 48 hours prior to the service date: 75% charge’
- Cancellations made 24 hours of less or no show: 100% charge’
